Thank you, central Ohio, for being United for Impact! Our community’s generous supporters and 17 corporate sponsors helped 75 local nonprofits raise and unlock more than $650,000 in just 4 1/2 days!
The excitement throughout the week of May 9 to May 13 was inspiring as participating nonprofits worked together to raise money and engage new and existing donors. As the nonprofits reached each of the four levels of giving or number of donors, bonus dollars were unlocked from the sponsorship prize pool. Best of all, 100% of all donations raised through United for Impact went to the nonprofits and every organization received a portion of the prize pool money based on how much they raised and how many donors they had.
Community Shelter Board inched out NNEMAP by bringing in $35,745 in donations throughout the week. The nonprofit received an additional $18,513 dollars from the prize pool, as a result, for a total payout of $54,277. In the donor category, Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center had 215 individual donors, which helped it earn the largest percentage of money in that category from the prize pool. The nonprofit finished with a total payout of $50,188, thanks to $16,489 in donations and $33,698 in prize money.
Despite not being the #1 winner in either category, NNEMAP came out the biggest winner for the week by being in 2nd place in both donations ($35,395) and number of donors (194). The organization’s $36,414 prize money combined with donations to bring the total payout to $71,810!
“The bonus prize pool is so inspiring to our community. When our corporate citizens show up in this way, we feel like we are in this together. Thank you to all the sponsors of United for Impact from all of the infants, toddlers, preschoolers and families that we serve, as well as our staff – frontline workers who truly deserve our support and utmost respect,” said Gina Ginn, Executive Director of Columbus Early Learning Centers
