Job Description:

The purpose of this classification is to act as a lead worker over assigned staff, train new employees on assigned area(s) of responsibilities, prepare invoices, vouchers, remittances for receipt & disbursement of funds & other related materials. This classification is considered an advanced level classification, and requires thorough knowledge of accounting systems, and agency accounting procedures and processes.

·        Complete monthly audit analysis, interpret complex financial data and manage special projects for senior management.

·        Function as liaison to third-party administrators for various vendor accounts.

·        Create tracking reports, spreadsheets, calculations and analysis on specific programs and portfolios within those programs.

·        Review, create and post monthly general journal entries, reviewing A/R, a/p invoices before posting and payroll.

·        Process Bi-Weekly Payroll

Education: Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Two to Four years’ experience in accounting or related field; one year experience in use of computer software & spreadsheet applications for accounting purposes.
