Job Title: Grants Manager Date Completed: November 1, 2019

Reports to: Senior Director, Development
Job Summary:
The Grants Manager will take lead responsibility for the identification, cultivation, and management of all new and existing grants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.
1. Identify, research, and evaluate potential sources of support through grant maker databases and directories, government agency and professional fundraising publications, web research and networking.
2. Prepare and write privately and publicly funded grants and grant-related reports; establishing the timeline and required elements of each proposal, ensuring that all deadlines are met, writing content, and assuming final full preparation and submission of the grant.
3. Monitor key sources of grant funding opportunities and develop collaborative relationships with external sources.
4. Prepare pre-award and post-award documents.
5. Work closely with the Program and Development departments to participate in the management of relationships with program officers of foundations, corporations, and government funders.
6. Ability to work with all departments in a positive and professional way to develop grant proposals and fulfill reporting requirement.
7. Experience preparing budgets and creating programs in partnership with other departments.
8. Work closely with the Senior Director, Development to manage and reconcile grant spending.
9. Increase existing grant writing capacity by developing boilerplate proposals on various priority programs that may then be adapted for specific grant opportunities.
10. Support Development Department in meeting established fundraising goals each fiscal year.
11. Maintain corporate, foundation and government files.
12. Must be able to work independently.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree.
· 3 to 5 years working in the grant writing and grant management field.
· Strong computer skills: MS Word and Excel required.
· Ability to create and maintain databases and to consolidate data.
· Excellent interpersonal and prolific written communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
