Clinical Supervisor

Department: Outpatient Treatment

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: VP/COO

Work Schedule: 9am-6pm M-F

Position Supervised: SPMI Program

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the SPMI QA/QI team and supervises SPMI planning and scheduling of the daily clinical operations. Reviews service program and curriculum to ensure compliance with ACT, Ohio Department of Mental Health, and Addiction Services, CARF, CND program mission, philosophy, and key principals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for SPMI QA/QI team to review charts for errors and find areas to improve.

2. Supervises SPMI planning and scheduling of the daily clinical operations.

3. Reviews service program and curriculum to ensure compliance with ACT, Ohio Department of Mental Health, and Addiction Services, CARF, CND program mission, philosophy, and key principals.

4. Applies relevant federal, state, and local agency statutes, rules, policies, procedures, and best practice standards related to treatment planning.

5. Conducts or participates in effective clinical treatment team meetings.

6. Ensures and provides for timely treatment planning reviews.

7. Ensures and provides for clinical and educational coordination with the assistance of the Director of Outpatient Treatment Services

8. Supervises/Provides clinical and case management services.

9. Analyzes and interprets client records/reports of treatment, behavior, and progress regarding treatment services.

10. Ensures and provides for effective case management development and implementation including Specialized Behavior Intervention Plans, Progress and Court Reports, and Treatment Team Meetings

11. Conducts and coordinates clinical file reviews, including peer reviews, and ensures reviews are completed according to standards.

12. Provides clinical supervision of all clinical staff for SPMI program.

13. Provides assessment, including diagnosis; individual and group counseling sessions; and family counseling sessions per clinical schedule and as needed.

14. Provides screening and assessment, including diagnosis, when appropriate to scope of practice, for adult client population.

15. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with various community and referral agencies.

16. Interprets program objectives to individual and public or private agencies to obtain mutual understanding, cooperation, and support.

17. Performs any other duties as assigned by VP/COO.

Education: Master’s degree in human service or behavioral science with Three (3) years of experience in the field of chemical dependence and mental health treatment.

Licenses, Credentials, Certifications Required: LPCC or LISW

LPCC with supervisory endorsement and a declared scope of practice of mental health counseling, alcohol and drug addiction counseling and licensed to perform clinical supervision, OR

LISW with supervisory endorsement and a declared scope of practice of mental health counseling, alcohol and drug addiction counseling and licensed to perform clinical supervision.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite. Possess an ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Candidate must possess excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written). Candidate must have an attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task with the ability to work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative to complete tasks.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license; must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen. Must be Covid-19 fully vaccinated.
