United Way of Central Ohio is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its board of trustees: Robert Heidorn, president and COO for Columbia Gas of Ohio, and Laura Arenschield, vice president, customer experience for AEP Ohio.
Arenschield oversees AEP Ohio’s customer and internal communications functions, and is responsible for developing strategies for and supporting communications that reach AEP Ohio’s 1.5 million customers and 1,400 employees. Prior to joining AEP, she worked for Paul Werth Associates, The Ohio State University and the Columbus Dispatch.
For the past 35 years, Heidorn has worked in various regulatory and strategic roles in the energy industry. He began his career at Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Indianapolis and also served as president of the Carver Community Center in Evansville, Indiana. He has served in various roles for United Way of Southwestern Indiana, as well as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
