The Ohio State vs. Michigan rivalry is a tradition like no other, but this year, it’s about more than just the game. It’s about bringing together the fans from rival teams for United Rivals, a friendly three-week fundraising competition aimed at fighting childhood food insecurity in central Ohio. Now more than ever, food pantries and families across central Ohio are feeling the impact of rising needs and funding gaps. And when children don’t have enough to eat, it impacts their learning and development. As a community, we have the passion and power to make sure no child goes hungry.
From Monday, Nov. 10 to Saturday, Nov. 29, fans from both sides of the rivalry in central Ohio will have the chance to make a difference by donating to get behind Team Ohio or Team Michigan. Just go to UnitedRivals.org and click on Team Ohio or Team Michigan to choose where to put your donation and to keep an eye on which team is in the lead. Every dollar raised in this challenge will stay local, helping to support students in our Success by Third Grade school districts.
When you give $50 to Team Ohio or Team Michigan, you’ll receive a United Rivals t-shirt mailed directly to your home and you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you helped keep kids fed and learning in central Ohio. AND every week of United Rivals will feature drawings for exciting prizes, so be certain to follow us on social media to see what you can win when you give.
In between the fun, you’ll help fill snack bags to keep thousands of local kids fed in partnership with Feed the Kids Columbus and St. Stephen’s Community House.
