Now in its seventh year, Stuff the Backpack has provided over 200,000 students across central Ohio with basic school supplies. Last year, our community showed up in force! We had over 500 volunteers join us, and they packed 1,500 backpacks in just 45 minutes.
This year, in partnership with Besa, we are prepared to welcome 700 volunteers to pack 10,000 backpacks during three shifts throughout the day.

There will be loads of fun and raffle prizes, and food will be provided by our generous partner Condado Tacos. We’re also grateful for our supporting sponsors, Big Lots and Grange, for contributing a portion of the supplies and backpacks that make Stuff the Backpack a success.
To meet our ambitious goal of getting 10,000 backpacks into the hands of students and help them succeed, we still need your help! A gift of just $10, less than the cost of eating lunch out, is all it takes to provide a backpack stuffed full of supplies for one student. A $270 donation provides backpacks for an entire classroom of students.

We know that families in many local school districts are struggling financially. Food and housing insecurity are on the rise in Franklin County, which means too many families won’t be able to afford essential supplies when their children return to school in August.
