Do you have a great idea that could reduce poverty in your neighborhood?
Need funds to put your idea into action?
Tell us your innovative idea and you could receive funding through Pitch to Ditch Poverty, an event where attendees will vote and choose the best project aimed at reducing poverty in our community. The winner at the event will also receive a grant from United Way of Central Ohio for up to $5000.
United Way of Central Ohio is currently seeking applications for our second annual Pitch to Ditch Poverty. This is an opportunity for YOU to tell us your most creative idea to disrupt poverty through our application, pitch it at our event if you’re selected, and win funding for your project.
Please note: Special consideration will be given to projects exhibiting innovation and creativity, and focusing on the neighborhoods of Linden or the South Side.
Deadline for applications: 11:59 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017.
Three finalists will be selected in mid-September and will receive additional instructions to prepare for the first Pitch to Ditch Poverty event to take place on October 24,2017.
At the event, the finalists will pitch their ideas and receive funding through votes. The person who receives the most votes will also receive matching funding up to $5000 from United Way of Central Ohio.
