Description:
Community Kitchen exists to promote stabilization in the lives of its clients by providing basic safety net and emergency food service. Community Kitchen is an inclusive space where ALL are welcomed to the table, fed, treated with dignity and respect and made to feel comfortable asking for help. We increase access to food and related supports, thereby decreasing food insecurity and related crises, while remaining attuned and responsive to the root factors contributing to hunger. With the aim of positioning clients for more productive living, primary services include provision of nutritious meals, distribution of personal care packs, and strategic referrals to related agencies that address shelter, health care, and/or other basic needs.
