Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM) is a non-profit, faith-based organization, serving residents who live within the Westerville school district.
WARM's Child Nutrition Programs include The Westerville Area Kids Lunch Club (KLC), a USDA Summer Food Service Program that provides children ages 1-18 with nutritious meals and recreation time throughout the summer when school is not in session. The KLC program currently consists of 11 outdoor sites located in and around the surrounding Westerville area.
Position: Part-time, seasonal
A Crew Member of the Westerville Area Kids Lunch Club will support and assist the Site Leader by engaging in meaningful endeavors by fostering, cultivating, and deepening connections between co-workers, children, and other community partners.
• 15 hours per week (subject to change), May 28th through August 9th
• General hours are Monday through Friday; approximately 3 hours per day
• Mandatory attendance required at one (1) training session in May
• $11.00 per hour
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
• Be a positive ambassador for WARM, KLC, and Westerville
• Assist with on-site set up and tear down
• Accept and distribute meals, maintain accurate records, and comply with USDA regulations
• Supervise and participate in enrichment/fitness activities
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• 16 years of age or older
• Experience in working with youth through summer camps or youth programs preferred
• High degree of compassion for children
• Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to perform a variety of tasks with ease and professionalism
• First Aid/CPR certification a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift at least 20-30 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat or rainy conditions

We are looking for a Child Nutrition Programs Associate to support and assist the Coordinator of Child Nutrition Programs in the operation of the Westerville Area Kids Lunch Club (KLC).
- Up to 20 hours per week; May 7th through May 17th (subject to change)
- 40 hours per week; May 20th through August 16th (subject to change)
- General hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (during KLC operation).
- 3 Days PTO (Paid Time Off)
- $13.00 per hour

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Assist in the planning and facilitation of training, education, enrichment and recreational activities for youth and volunteers at each of the 11 KLCsites
- Support the Coordinator of Child Nutrition Programs in the training of seasonal KLC staff
- Purchase, organize and maintain program equipment andsupplies
- Assist with program logistics, meal delivery and fleet to operate the KLC program
- Administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, filing, copying, data entry
- Aid in the coordination of packaging and distribution of fresh produce and weekend backpack meals
- Support and assist the Coordinator of Child Nutrition Programs as needed with various other duties to maintain and operate the KLC program

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Bilingual/Spanish Contingent Peer Recovery Supporter at Community for New Direction you will utilize the combination of medication and treatment in an integrated manner as an effective means of treating opiate addiction. The program can house up to 5 men at a time allowing for both individualized attention as well as a supportive environment. Clients are provided with at least 6 hours of group treatment daily and live in a safe and structured environment.
Peer Recovery Supporters are responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents in recovery. Peer Recovery Supporters will ensure residents attend treatment and are successfully phased to different levels in the program. This program will offer a safe living environment, prepared meals, 24/7 staff, Group and Individual counseling, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Wellness and Sober Leisure Activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains open communication with counselor regarding residents’ recovery.
- Completes necessary documentations and records.
- Monitors residents’ activities and chores.
- Drives residents to appointments and activities.
- Assists residents with intake and move-in orientation.
- Complete other duties at the discretion of management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Computer Skills
Proficient in use of personal computer and related software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) use of office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, printer).
- High School diploma or equivalent and must have a certified Peer Recovery Supporter license or a CDCA Certification license.
- Must be Bilingual in Spanish

Job Description

Position Summary:
The Grants Specialist is responsible for strategically overseeing Star House’s grants process in sync with the organization’s overarching mission, goals, objectives and vision. At a 60% writing, 40% project management ratio, they will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, writing grant proposals, synthesizing data and managing grant budgets. In collaboration with finance staff, the Grant Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with grant requirements, attention to detail, reporting on grant activities, meeting all deadlines, communicating effectively with funders, evaluating the effectiveness of grant-funded programs and coordinating with various departments to implement grant-funded initiatives.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
The following duties are representative of performance expectations; however, the list below is not ranked in order of importance.
- Writes and submits new and recurring grant applications with attention to detail and expert syntax
- Oversees all grant application and reporting activities
- Manages and expands Star House’s grant portfolio
- Seeks, conducts research and applies for new grant opportunities
- Ensures Star House remains compliant with all grant stipulations
- Analyzes organizational data for inclusion in grant applications, reports and other communications
- Tracks outcome measures and prepares interim reports and final reports
- Collaborates with all levels of Star House staff to identify new and emerging needs
- Partners with Star House staff to establish needs associated with data analytics
- Conducts data analysis necessary for grants and development needs
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with grant funders
- Stays up-to-date on Star House’s mission, goals, objectives, vision and related data and research to ensure grant language alignment
- Stays informed about changes in the grant landscape, donor funding priorities and best practices in grant management to optimize grant-seeking efforts
- Partners with other team members to ensure consistency and brand strength and awareness
- Maintains confidentiality at all times regarding highly sensitive information
- Collaborate with finance team to create and manage grant budgets, track expenses and ensure proper financial reporting to funding organizations
- Continually monitors Star House’s capacity for managing its grants portfolio and makes recommendations ongoing for improvements to systems and human resources
- Supports Star House’s development and communication efforts by collaborating on shared organizational language
- Performs other specific job-related duties as assigned by the CEO or VP of Development

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate experience
- At least three years of grants administration and reporting experience. Applicable work may substitute for experience
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM database is required
- Well-versed in writing in Associated Press (AP) Style or another reputable syntax style. The ability to reference multiple sources and synthesize complex information into clear and concise text is essential for this role
- Strong analytical, verbal and written skills, ability to work independently, attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness and compelling presentation skills are required
