Job Description:
Recruiter
Action for Children (AFC) is seeking an individual to join our team of parent education professionals working on a new fatherhood initiative — All In Dads! . As the All In Dads! Recruiter, you will have a solid understanding of the community and more specifically the neighborhoods targeted within the All In Dads! program. You will identify and partner with local stakeholders, agencies, faith organizations, institutions and businesses to recruit participants of the fatherhood program. You will have professional experience with as well as knowledge of the communities in which the program will focus and be familiar with the various resources available in those areas. The communities identified to take part in All In Dads! include, but are not limited to, Weinland Park, Linden, Near East, Franklinton, and Hilltop.
Major responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of AFC parenting programs and offerings
- Identify and develop recruiting strategies to attract and to ensure a steady flow of participants for All In Dads!
- Work with supervisory team to develop marketing strategies
- Coordinate, target, plan and attend outreach opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with community referral partners
- Achieve program goals as agreed upon
- Document, consistently, accurately and in real time, all participant and partner contacts, activities and outcomes
- Model and Mentor positive behaviors for participants
Qualifications include:
- Self-motivated and outgoing
- Previous exposure to parenting education programs preferred
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience with outreach related activities
- Intimate knowledge of local communities (listed above)
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work with individuals of various backgrounds and cultures
