Job Description:

 

Mentor Central Ohio is an affiliate of MENTOR, a unifying champion for expanding quality youth mentoring across the U. S., and a division of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio.   MENTOR provides quality benchmarks, resources, training and consulting to non-profit programs / agencies and their staff so they may improve their mentoring program’s capacity, sustainability, safety and impact on youth.

 

 

 

Currently we are looking for a Program Partner Specialist who will be primarily responsible for consulting with prospective mentoring program clients to assess their current needs, then to offer development solutions and services to meet those needs and enable those agencies to improve their capacity and sustainability over time.  This position also carries out the contracting process and scheduling of service delivery.  In addition, this position provides coordination of MENTOR Central Ohio’s training courses, including contracted and grant funded sessions, approximately 200 per year.  There are no direct reports for this position.

 

 

 

 

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Must have 3 – 5 years’ experience in the non-profit sector creating and managing sustainable programs, assessing needs and/ or consulting with organizations to improve results.  Bachelor’s degree required (business development or non-profit program management).  Knowledge of youth mentoring and it’s benefits is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work 40 hours / week or more as needed including daytime, evening and weekends
  • Must be willing and comfortable working with diverse populations and in diverse areas of the city / state
  • Must have road-worthy transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance to meet job responsibilities
  • Must be willing to periodically travel throughout the state of Ohio (which could occasionally result in an overnight stay) to fulfill out-of-town contract services
  • Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook / email.  Experience with a Customer Relations Management tracking system like Salesforce and GoToMeeting  / virtual meeting tools a plus
