POSITION SUMMARY:
Community for New Direction will utilize the combination of medication and treatment in an integrated manner as an effective means of treating opiate addiction. The program can house up to 5 men at a time allowing for both individualized attention as well as a supportive environment. Clients are provided with at least 6 hours of group treatment daily and live in a safe and structured environment.
This program will offer a safe living environment, prepared meals, 24/7 staff, Group and Individual counseling, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Wellness and Sober Leisure Activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitor client behavior and whereabouts supervise client activities and chores.
2. Inspect residential buildings and grounds.
3. Drive clients to activities and appointments
4. Assist clients with intake and orientation.
5. Enforce CND rules and provide client education as needed.
6. Provide client documentation and record keeping.
7. Assist in treatment activities under the supervision of a counselor including screening, treatment planning, group and individual counseling, case management, crisis intervention, referrals and consultation.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High School diploma or equivalent, personal experience of addiction and recovery. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist or willing to become one and/or CDCA certified.
