Job Description:

Godman Guild Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1898 with the mission to help members of the Columbus community achieve social and economic mobility – one person, one family at a time. Godman Guild’s programs are for all ages and are built to provide a continuum of success and support, making it possible for participants to achieve their academic and career goals.
We are now seeking a detail oriented, personable 20-25 hour per week Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator to join our team to engage with potential clients to screen for eligibility and support eligible clients with completing the enrollment process.

This position is currently primarily remote with occasional in person work. The schedule is M-F daytime hours with flexibility between 8am-8pm; set schedule would be set by agreement with the candidate and supervisor. Some weekend hours may be opted for but are not required.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Eligibility Screening

  • Track registration requests and contact interested individuals to screen for eligibility.
  • Communicate with potential STARs (Skilled Through Alternative Routes participants) regarding program enrollment processes, eligibility requirements, timelines, and program benefits.
  • Maintain ongoing onboarding relationships with STARs until they reach their intended program(s)
  • Document and track eligibility screening conversations and results. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program changes and eligibility criteria.

Enrollment and data collection

  • Distribute and track enrollment documentation and paperwork.
  • Support potential STARs with completing enrollment documents, including providing technical support as needed with digital platforms.
  • Track completion of enrollment documents.
  • Provide ongoing communication and support for each step of the enrollment process.
  • Provide agency orientation services and manage contacts with support and program staff.
  • Ensure that all STARs complete the enrollment process.
  • Maintain accurate data including information updates as needed.
  • Provide personalized assistance to clients, addressing their questions and concerns.

Outreach:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement outreach strategies to identify and engage potential program participants.
  • Maintain relationships with community organizations, other agencies, and other community stakeholders.
  • Attend community events, fairs, and other public forums to promote programs and services.
  • Connect with other agencies, partners, and organizations which may have opportunities to refer potential participants and do additional outreach on our behalf.
  • Draft and send out communications, reminders, and notifications of events and flyers as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss outreach and enrollment progress, challenges, and best practices.
  • Develop and update outreach materials, such as brochures, flyers, and digital content, in collaboration with appropriate staff and teams
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and administrative staff to coordinate services and support
  • Participate in professional development and training.
  • Attend agency and other meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Detail Oriented: Pays close attention to details to eliminate all errors and meet the highest possible quality standards.

Effective Communication: Speaks clearly and appropriately to the intended audience in both formal and informal settings and in-person and virtual settings. Express ideas in writing using good grammar and logical presentation.

Time Management/Multi-tasking: Accomplish goals by establishing priorities and organizing your workload to meet deadlines.

Proficiency in office applications and technology.

Experience with DocuSign is a plus.

Willingness to travel and work in different environments around greater Columbus.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Job Requirements

Work Experience and Education

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 2 years of relevant experience strongly preferred

Requires the ability to work independently both in person and in a hybrid setting.

Requires intermediate computer skills and experience using office equipment.

Ability to work non-traditional hours. Some evenings and weekends are required.

Ability to speak other languages preferred.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check per agency and state requirements.

Physical, Mental, and Other Requirements:

The ability to work independently without constant supervision

High level of positive customer service skills.

Must have access to a working phone or cell phone.

Must have access to reliable WIFI or internet connection other than at Guild offices.

Must be able to form relationships with employees, STARs, and families while maintaining professional boundaries.

 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
