Job Description:

Community Development for All People (CD4AP) is a nonprofit community development corporation, committed to improving quality of life for all residents of the South Side. The Housing Coordinator role will work collaboratively with the Director of Housing to advance CD4AP’s affordable housing development and preservation initiatives. The successful candidate will be: a self-starter; be committed to affordable housing and the creation of inclusive communities; detail oriented; an effective communicator both in writing and orally; and able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to explore and advance projects.

 Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Monitor and asset manage CD4AP’s 20 unit rental portfolio in collaboration with our property management company.

·         Oversee maintenance request approvals, and coordinate with vendors to see tasks through.

·         Analyze monthly property management generated owner reports to assess portfolio fiscal performance against projections.

·         Assist with data collection and report preparation for funders and external partners.

·         Collect and analyze data related to existing and future affordable housing projects.

·         Coordinate meetings and correspond with partner organizations as needed.

·         Build out and maintain CD4AP’s digital housing development files, and coordinate updates to the housing section of the organization’s website.

·         Attend meetings and represent CD4AP with funders, government officials, community groups, other nonprofits, business leaders and residents.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

·         Bachelor or Master degree in a field related to city planning or housing development preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

·         Minimum of 2 years of experience in the affordable housing or community development space

·         Experience with property management and/or asset management.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with social media platforms.

·         Experience with and an affinity for working with low-income and socially marginalized populations.

·         Possess strong critical thinking skills and creative problem solving abilities.

·         Must be able to work independently and have strong decision making skills.

·         Dependable, a self-starter, inquisitive and collaborative.
