Job Description:
Title: Food Service/Catering Delivery Specialist
Reports to: BBT Director
Department: Blue Bow Tie Catering (a wholly owned subsidiary of Godman Guild Association)
Hours: Monday – Friday variable but generally 7am-3pm, *hours may be adjusted to workload and/or client needs
Are you ready to hit the road with enthusiasm and deliver delicious moments to our customers? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and energetic Food Service/Catering Delivery Specialist to join our team and bring the joy of exceptional food directly to our clients’ doors!
In-House Responsibilities
- Food Prep: Prepare menu items according to recipe and under direction of Food and
Beverage Director for off-site catering delivery;
- Kitchen Support: Assist with daily operations of the kitchen including cleaning, sanitation, inventory control, and other related operational duties;
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management for food items, beverages, equipment, and catering supplies;
- Health & Safety: Ensure employees, interns and volunteers comply with health and food safety standards and regulations;
- Customer Service: Promote good customer relations through exemplary customer service and a “can do” attitude;
- Other duties as assigned.
External Responsibilities
- Timely Deliveries: Navigate through the city with speed and precision to ensure our culinary creations reach our customers piping hot and ready to delight their taste buds;
- Customer Interaction: Be the friendly face of our brand! Greet customers with a smile, provide exceptional service, and create positive and memorable experiences during every delivery;
- On-Site Support: Assist in set up and tear down of catered events;
- Order Accuracy: Double-check orders before hitting the road to ensure every detail is spot-on. Accuracy is key to ensuring customer satisfaction;
- Vehicle Maintenance: Take pride in keeping your vehicle in top-notch condition.
Perform regular checks to ensure safe and efficient transportation of our culinary delights;
- Adaptability: Embrace change and be ready to take on new challenges. Our menu and delivery routes may vary, so flexibility is essential;
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and customer service teams to streamline the delivery process and guarantee a seamless experience for our customers;
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Education
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency credential required.
- Previous catering/delivery experience a plus.
- Level 1 ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
- Previous food prep/kitchen experience preferred.
- Requires satisfactory background check.
Job Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance are non-negotiable. Safety first!
- Energetic Attitude: We’re looking for someone with a positive and energetic demeanor who can bring enthusiasm to every delivery.
- Time Management Skills: Efficiently manage your time to ensure on-time deliveries without compromising the quality of service. Able to perform assignments gracefully with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills are a must. You’ll be the bridge between our kitchen and our customers, so clear and friendly communication is key.
- Customer-Focused: A passion for providing exceptional customer service. Our delivery drivers play a crucial role in shaping our customers’ experience.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds.
- Physical Exertion: Spend approximately 95% of the time on the job standing, bending, lifting, sitting and walking.
- May require weekend, evening and non-traditional hours.
- Administrative Support: Able to utilize basic office equipment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
