Job Description:
Future Ready Columbus is a nonprofit collective impact organization working with a team of Central Ohio partners to implement a plan to ensure that all children in Franklin County will be ready for kindergarten by 2030. The kindergarten readiness plan, known as Future Ready by 5, focuses on creating the systemic change needed to make certain every child, family, and community has the support they need to enter kindergarten ready because, when children show up ready for kindergarten, they lead healthier, more productive lives.
FRC (Future Ready Columbus) is seeking a dynamic, organized, solution focused, thought leader with at least five years of relevant experience, demonstrated leadership and proven track record to lead work related to the following essential duties & skills:
• Strong understanding of current early childhood programs including, but not limited to, publicly and privately funded childcare, preschool, child protective services, children’s services, early intervention, home visiting, and evidence-based quality components that impact kindergarten readiness.
• Executive level leadership experience with excellent communication, collaboration and team building skills to support the work of the CEO and the rest of the FRC team.
• Write, administer, and report on government, foundation, and corporate grants.
• Lead the implementation of FR5 (Future Ready by 5) strategies through project manager(s) and partner strategy leaders.
• Coach, support, and evaluate staff members as assigned.
• The ability to create & present engaging presentations.
• The ability to facilitate and lead large and small group meetings.
• The ability to successfully drive goals and strategies in a strategic plan forward.
• Cultivate positive, trusting relationships with the business and civic communities in central Ohio.
• Manage processes to improve coordination among early learning partners, leveraging and amplifying successful work in the early learning community.
• Help manage the financial strategy at FRC.
• Create and execute project work plans (including budgets) and update them as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Give leadership to advocacy efforts on early learning policy.
• Oversee systemic developments that will advance FRC’s ability to standardize, collect and analyze data.
• Collaborate with other data organizations in Franklin County to develop an IT system that aligns and interacts with other existing data systems.
• Create a monitoring process to keep the website dashboard up to date and lead periodic and annual reporting on progress toward Future Ready by 5 goal and strategy data points.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in education, business, social science, or related field preferred; graduate degree preferred.
• Five years of relevant experience and demonstrated leadership in the following areas:
o Collaboration and communication experience
o Strong interpersonal skills
o Building community consensus
o Team building
o Solutions and outcome focused approach
o Microsoft suite
o Minimum of five years of experience managing multi-faceted projects
o Outstanding organization and project management skills – ability to see the big picture and to manage the intricate details
o Ability to facilitate decision-making among multiple parties
o Exceptional and creative problem-solving skills
o Demonstrated ability to make compelling presentations to diverse audiences
o Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and take initiative, and to proactively keep the CEO informed
o Passion for mission-driven work and projects that support underserved communities in Columbus
o Excellent verbal/written communication skills
o Entrepreneurial mindset with the willingness to be engaged in multiple projects at once

Future Ready Columbus is currently using a hybrid model of in-office and work-from-home days. Some travel is required to local off-site meetings and out-of-state meetings, presentations, and conferences.
