Call for Nominations
Do you know a Champion of Children?
Nominations for the 2015 Champion of Children Awards are Now Open.
For more than 20 years, Champion of Children has honored an individual who exemplifies “the power of one” in improving the lives of children in central Ohio. In recent years, we’ve added a nonprofit organization Champion of Children award to honor a local organization.
You can nominate Champions in two categories:
1. Nonprofit Organization Champion of Children Award
This award highlights best practices in education through nonprofit organizations. We are seeking nominations from organizations that broadly contribute to the success of children along the educational continuum with an emphasis on either kindergarten readiness and/or high school graduation results.
We encourage you to nominate an organization that embodies the ideals of Champion of Children by helping children and youth succeed, demonstrating outstanding leadership in some aspect of the education continuum, understanding emerging and changing community and education needs and trends and responding to those with innovation and impact, demonstrating impact with verifiable results, and maintaining strong relationships within the community to enhance success for children and youth.
Furthermore, we would like to invite you to nominate a deserving individual for the 2014 Champion of Children Award. For more than 20 years, Champion of Children has honored one individual who exemplifies “the power of one” in improving the lives of children in Central Ohio as indicated below.
2. Individual Champion of Children Award
Do you know someone in our community who has made a deep, far-reaching, and lasting impact on the lives of children? Any person living or working in Franklin County meeting these qualifications may be nominated for the Champion of Children Award.
These two awards will be presented, and the recipients will be honored at the Champion of Children Signature Event on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. The award presentation will be followed by an hors d’oeuvres reception. The award recipients must be available to attend the event.
