2010-CCDlogoCommunity Care Day - A Celebration of the Power of a Community Working Together

What is COMMUNITY CARE DAY?

Community Care Day is Central Ohio’s largest one-day volunteer outreach event. This year’s Community Care Day will highlight sites that represent United Way of Central Ohio’s four impact areas considered to be the building blocks for a good life, EDUCATION, INCOME, HEALTH and HOME.

The Impact of COMMUNITY CARE DAY

As a result of Community Care Day, agencies, schools, churches and neighborhoods save thousands of dollars in manpower and project costs and complete plans that would sometimes take months to complete, in just one day. They are then able to channel their dollars and volunteer support directly into programs and services for the community.

In 2009, nearly 3,000 volunteers from over 250 companies, government agencies and labor unions, completed a variety of tasks for over 275 agencies, schools, churches and neighborhoods.
