St. Stephen's Community House, a settlement house, has been brightening lives and strengthening families in Columbus since 1919 and is recognized nationally for providing high-impact, community-based programs with measurable outcomes. As an anchor in the community, we have built positive relationships with residents, families, schools, businesses, and other community partners. We are nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation and the National Association of the Education of Young Children. Programs/services focus on five core services areas: Early Childhood Services - Kindergarten Readiness Preparedness Youth Services - Academic Success and Social/Emotional Development Family Services - Family Strengthening Senior Services -Enhanced Quality of Life Neighborhood Services - Household Stabilization.

St. Stephen's Community House is a hub for advancing self-sufficiency in our community. We are committed to assisting residents in the Greater Linden area to build community, self-sufficiency and individual well-being. We assist residents to maximize their potential through programs and services such as employment, social development, community organization, education and childcare.

Programs and Services:

St. Stephen’s Community House is a community-based settlement house providing services in five core service areas, all of which has earned national accreditation from the Council on Accreditation and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Founded in 1919, St. Stephen’s Community House serves the Linden neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio and 11 surrounding ZIP codes. St. Stephen’s Community House commits to strengthening families and empowering the community by serving 24,000 individuals annually through five core service areas: Childcare, Family Services, Senior Services, Youth Services, and Neighborhood Services. For additional information, please visit saintstephensch.org. In 2018, United Way allocated $35,000 to St. Stephen’s Community House to implement the Greater Linden Neighborhood Leadership Academy. The introduction of the Neighborhood Leadership Academy to the Greater Linden community will support current efforts to transform Linden into a diverse mixed-income neighborhood where residents are connected to health and wellness, education, transportation, housing, safety, mental health, nutrition and workforce development resources.
